Most projects will require a permit. If you are unsure, please contact Jillian Brookshire at jbrookshire@lillingtonnc.org.

Trade permits cover your electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and building trades. Some examples include solar panels, HVAC changeouts, and generators.

This permit includes the construction of single-family detached and attached dwellings, duplexes, townhomes, renovations, additions, attached/detached garages, storage buildings, pool houses, decks and screened porches.

Several factors can determine the total cost of a permit. However, the Lillington Fee Schedule provides insight into various permit fees.

No. We do not issue business licenses. However, if you are looking to open a new business in town, please complete a Zoning Permit Application.

For utility services, please complete the Utility Services Application and submit your deed/lease and a valid photo ID with your application.
